My favorite place for Chinese food in and around West Sacramento. Great lunch deals and super fast!

Made a phone order for 3 combo plates, the guy on the phone was super short with us and before we could clarify our order, he hung up on us. I picked the plates up, paid and went home only to find that the plates were literally meat and nothing else, when I called to complain the lady that answered made it sound like it was my fault for not clarifying and then told me I could come back across town and pay the difference and they will fix it... wow last time I will be ordering from here!

Service was great. Very helpful with a toddler. The food was the best. I brought some home and my husband commented on how hood it was, crispy not greasy.

My parents always make me come here because it's inexpensive but I don't like their food.

Best Chinese food in west sac. Food is always on point and fresh. The owner is very friendly and well spoken. The restaurant is clean and looks really accommodating.

Very good. I had the egg food young. It was the best the gravy was the best I ever had. Their hot and sour soup is delicious.

East side chef is defiantly a family favorite for us. My girls think their food is the best and would have it every single night if we allowed it (I would to if my wife allowed it) with that being said, the food always taste great and fresh no matter what time of day you go in. The staff treats everyone as if they were a regular there, they are very friendly and welcome you with smiles on their faces. They always make sure your drinks are full and that you have everything you could possibly need. This is the place we often go to for birthday dinners and special occasions as the girls often pick. We love the family at East Side as if they were our own! Thank you pest side for providing that family friendly atmosphere and delicious food.

My family and I have been going here for years. We made our 1st visit during their grand opening several years ago. Susan was our 1st waitress and has our kids 16, 13, & 11 names and she reminds us that she can't believe how big they are and how she remembers them through the years. The food here is really good. We have our favorites. Our youngest loves the soup. Everyone loves the Salt and Pepper Chicken. All the rice dishes are perfectly prepared. We all love the combo meals that come with individual grilling Sichuan Beef on sticks. We have brought family and friends here over the years. It's one place that many want to revisit again and again when they come to town. I highly recommend East Side Chef Restaurant. Thank you,Paul

The food is always fresh and delicious. Prices are good, service is friendly and fast. It is our go to Chinese restaurant. My daughter and I will sometimes go for the lunch special.

First time there - love the chow mein, so good! Quickly seated, food brought out quickly. Lunch portion was huge, and price ranged $8.00/plate. I chose the beef and green bean plate. My husband chose the general chicken. Both were fresh and great tasting. No complaints.

Pleasaly surprised. The General Chicken at lunchtime was delicious. It rates a second visit for dinner.

Since I love sweet, my favorite item of theirs is the mandarine shrimp which are coated in a clear, sweet glaze that is absolutely divine mixed into the pork fried rice and the chowmein slurped up alongside! I'm an addict. The lunch plate is generous and reasonably priced. They get all five stars from me, just for this dish.

Good food at very reasonable prices. I order take out from here as often as I can. Highly recommend.

Lunch menu is good and you get a lot of food. Hot Wings are one of my favorites. Friendly wait staff as well.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Great staff and great prices. We take any out of towns guests here any time we can and we’ve never had bad food or a bad experience. 100% recommend to anyone looking for great, fresh food in the Sac area. Worth the drive for anyone in 50 miles.

The honey walnut shrimp was good. The mixed veggie dish was bland. It was mostly celery and the sauce had no flavor.

Regular eatery for us. Service is top notch and the food is always good. Not really for drinking but they do have several wines and beer. We usually have the white zinfendel.

Customer service here is excellent they are very accommodating. The food was ready pretty fast and was very good.

This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant in west sacramento, the flaming platter is really fun! The staff has always been very pleasant and the menu offers selections for almost anyone. This place has large seething areas and can accommodate families and parties very well. If you are thinking about eating Chinese food in west sacramento you should definitely check this place out.

Friendly staff, great service, and delicious food at good prices

We had the sesame chicken combo plate which comes with fried rice and wonton soup. We always get enough to take home leftovers. Food is very good! So is the service. Highly recommended.

Nice and clean. Food was seasoned well and not overly salty. It could have probably been a little more spicy for my taste but that's okay. Interesting location like a hole in the wall type place.

Kung pao chicken plate and teriyaki chicken in foil...way better than the teriyaki chicken not in foil I think. Would be great for a big family dinner.

I love this place. Go here all the time. Some of the best Chinese food I've had. Fried rice, general chicken, and beef with broccoli are the best around. Great price huge portions and great taste. This is the only place I like to go for Chinese anymore. No one else comes close!!

This spot never fails to impress. They have awesome food for convenient rates, there is no waiting time even when the spot is full.

I got the lunch special very little meat it was put in the upper left corner instead of the main entrée . Rice was bland . Even though the price was average for Chinese food . I regret it. It was during lunch and they weren't very busy . That should have warned me to stay away .
